Driving the conversation: News, trends, and events for car enthusiasts

Welcome

As the week comes to a close, here’s your reminder that Valentine’s Day is this Saturday—don’t forget the chocolates. Whether they’re for your loved one or a little emotional support candy for yourself, we won’t judge.

Until then, here’s the latest in automotive news.

Ford to Launch 5 New Models under $40k

Ford just made an announcement that actually sounds… promising. The brand says it’s planning five all-new vehicles under $40,000 by 2030 — real new models, not “affordable if you squint at the window sticker” trims.

The lineup spans cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, with gas, hybrid, plug-in, and EV options all on the table. The most eye-catching tease? A ~$30K electric pickup coming around 2027 that’s compact on the outside but surprisingly roomy — and reportedly quick.

Ford might even be flirting with a sedan comeback while filling gaps left by outgoing models. Details are light, but the direction is clear: affordable cars are back in the conversation.
