Forza Horizon 6 Brings the Festival to Japan

Playground Games

Forza Horizon 6 is officially real — and it’s headed to Japan.

Revealed this week, the next Horizon installment drops players into the most ambitious open world the franchise has ever built, featuring dense cities, mountain roads, and car-culture hotspots inspired by real Japanese street scenes. Launching May 19, 2026, the game debuts with 550+ cars, permanent car meets, and a new progression system that starts you as an outsider before earning your place in the Horizon Festival.

Beyond the map size and car count, Horizon 6 leans heavily into community. Always-on car meets, customizable garages, and shared social spaces are designed to mirror real-world scenes like Daikoku and underground night meets — less menu hopping, more cruising. It’s a clear shift toward culture-first gameplay, where showing up and being seen matters just as much as winning races.
