The New Corvette ZR1 Hits 60 in 2.3 Seconds

Chevrolet

Earlier this week, Chevrolet revealed performance details for the 2025 Corvette ZR1, and to no surprise, the numbers solidify its place as the ‘fastest and most powerful Corvette ever built.’

The ZR1 chases down 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, thanks to its monstrous 1064-horsepower engine. With the optional ZTK Performance package, it can run the quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds at 150 mph. Don't want to shell out the extra money? No worries, the base ZR1 will still hit 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and finish the quarter-mile in 9.7 seconds.

The ZTK package adds Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, aerodynamic upgrades like dive planes and underbody strakes, and a big rear wang.

The hybrid all-wheel-drive E-Ray previously claimed the title of quickest Corvette tested, hitting 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Impressive to hear the rear-wheel drive is quicker down the strip.

Pricing details remain under wraps, but estimates suggest a starting price near $180,000, with production slated for next year. The ZR1 promises to be a landmark in American performance engineering.
